Hi everyone
I have a very nice aiwa three head dual capstan cassette deck for sale.
You may recognize this deck from being sold a few months ago but it appears that a super-clever eBay buyer triplec92chris, bought my deck, "accidentally" sent me his broken deck and kept my working one.
It's unfortunate that sellers like this exist, but in the end after losing hundreds of dollars, the only thing you can do is make lemonade out of expensive lemons which is what I did. 😎
This deck arrived with having the wrong belts and had the mechanism reassembled without the ball bearing causing for horrible performance. Fortunately I had spare parts on hand and was able to resolve these issues. This deck works great!
Here is the rundown of service performed: New correct belts have been installed. The mechanism has been disassembled, cleaned and reassembled. Both capstans were removed and lubricated/cleaned. All heads and pinch rollers were cleaned as well. Idler tire was replaced. Missing ball bearing was replaced. Pinch roller arm was stuck, and was cleaned/lubricated.
All functions have been fully tested including fast forward rewind playback and record. Sound quality is excellent.
Will include a test recording that was made on that deck which provides a demonstration on its playback and recording performance
Physical condition of the deck is very clean with a few scuffs on the top.
Local demo and pick up of the deck is very welcome. Please ask any and all questions before purchasing.
